The project comes from Gibson Architects and was initially looked upon with disbelief. Building a house in the middle of nature and at that height seemed like a huge step. However, the plans took off and the results are spectacular. The interior features elements like boulders and natural stone and wood. Here are some words from the designer :”Using what was considered by most to be an unbuildable granite outcropping, I took advantage of the variety and cascading effect of the natural granite to create a house which evolved into seven levels revolving around the main central fireplace built into the largest granite boulder.” We salute this idea and we hope to bring you many more homes that interact with nature at this level.
