Unless you are planning on building your house suspended at a high altitude above beautiful landscapes, it cannot get better than this: building a place where you can wake up and see the mountains everyday and falling asleep after enjoying a beautiful sunset by the sea. This house comes from Suppose Design Office and it is located in Otake, Japan. The design of the building includes large apertures, so that each room is “open” and connected with the environment. This way the the North side of the house is “open even while closed”. The unusual edge of the roof houses the 6sqm terrace from where one can enjoy the surrounding natural beauties. -via Cool Boom

You are probably all aware of the limits that are being broken everyday in Dubai in terms of architecture. Hydropolis-the underwater hotel, Burj-Dubai, the world’s tallest building, Ski Dubai, The Palm Islands and Burj Al Arab are just a few of the landmarks of this Arabic emirate. This “miniature” planet Earth was created by James Law Cybertecture in order to make a statement. Due to various embedded technologies, the Technosphere will be able to auto sustain itself in matters of energy. Taking into consideration the vast resources that Dubai “consumed” up to now, this building is a revolutionary project that is perhaps trying to make up for this region’s latest activity. -via Inhabitat
