From architect Manuel Ribeiro, Aveledas House is located in Portugal, next to Bracara Augustae, an old Roman city. The main idea of the design took its roots from the fact that ancient Roman homes were usually built around a square. Here is a statement from the designer about this: We tried to take the most of the land to create a connection with the interior of the building, leaving a view of the valley and the square that exists between the two bodies housing.” The residence has a complex architecture plan and houses 4 bedrooms, a gym, two large bathrooms with an impressive design. Outside there is a giant pool, typical for this type of building. The interior design is modern, with contemporary furniture and interesting decorative items. Even though this house looks fantastic, we can’t help but wondering why the owners need so many rooms.

This beautiful home was under a recent renovation from Kidosaki Architects Studio. The company is famous for they works, and especially for the fact that they manage to perfectly integrate traditional Japanese items into contemporary residences. Y Residence is such an example. With a large panoramic view over the Pacific Ocean and situated on a hill, the owners of this place wanted a make-over that would imply a limited budget. As a result, the architects thought of a design that takes the colors and feel of the ocean and integrates them in the architecture of the house, still holding on to the traditional decorative items. The most fascinating thing for us is the outdoor terrace, a great place for relaxation which features spectacular ocean views.-via Yatzer
