Designed by LIN, the Cite du Design or Centre International du Design is an amazing structure powered by solar energy. It will be housing or be the starting point in a lot of the world’s efforts concerning communication, research and education in design. Its exact location is in Saint-Etienne, France. The construction took no less than €41.5 million to build and besides the solar power energy system, there is a well implemented heating plan, also based on sustainable grounds. We salute this breathtaking idea and we invite you to see some photos of the stunning building. -via
