Located in Garby, a place near Poznan, Poland, this original residential project belongs to NeoStudio Architekci, a company with a very inviting portfolio. We called the house “fun and fantastic” because we were fascinated by its design creativity. The architecture is simple and stylish, featuring elements that are not at all common and shaped around a two-level living-room. Large windows offer unobstructed views of the natural surroundings. The white stone walls give it a rustic feel and integrates it well in its environment. The interior is packed full with interesting and fresh design ideas. Unusual furniture and dramatic shapes blend into a dynamic and modern living area.

Located on the Oregon Coast, in Bluff Bandon, where Coquille River meets the ocean, this contemporary wooden residence comes from Johnston Architects and is our idea of a stylish retreat. The architecture plan features an "L"-shaped building which is open to both the river and ocean. The amazing natural surroundings were not left out and large windows allow unobstructed views. Enormous cypress trees guard the area and were brilliantly integrated in the building’s design. A cool wooden deck is also part of the architecture. The interior features a modern design enriched with rustic elements and spacious rooms with a fresh feel.

It is time for yet another home that left us speechless as we were checking out its diverse and breathtaking interior design. “Echo House” comes from Kariouk Associates and is located in Ottawa, Canada. The architecture team’s challenge was to make a renovation of a 1924 Victorian building and integrate it in its environment. The exterior can remind one of two blended cubes, which makes for an original design. But to be honest, we took a strong liking in the home’s interior arrangements, as we noticed they are full of pleasant surprises. Books were an important factor that “modeled” the design. It can be easily observed that they are present in unconventional places. A special “book vault” was created in order to guard the hundreds of literary works. Tastefully and stylish, the place houses plenty of interesting decorative elements which we invite you to discover.

The Mondrian Sideboard comes from Boca Do Lobo and caught our attention due to its diversity, artsy feel and glamorous looks. We found out that the carvings and models on the sideboards reunite a variety of artistic styles and the materials used are also diverse. Lacquer, leather and glass are just some of the designer’s options for the finishing touch. A large part of the products was handcrafted, which gives it even more originality. This is perhaps the reason for the limited edition items. The designers stated that this furniture “is an exclusive emotional experience, a sense of belonging and a state of mind. We will not insist on the functionality of the design, as it is clear that so many drawers could only mean plenty of storage space. - Via - 3rings

Although still at the concept stage the “Cube Chair” by Svilen Gamalov provides an interesting example of modern design. The chair, which combines futurist design elements of the 1950's with modern sensibility, is designed to envelope the user, creating a comfortable and stylized space. I hope to see more creative pieces of modern furniture like these, and I can’t wait to see the Gamalovs Cube Chair fully realized.
