Raye Street House is momentarily the name of the imposing house you see in the pictures below. But its construction came with a giant challenge. Ryan Rhodes Designs and Jason Rhodes (Attorney/Principal JMR Law Group) were the ones to notice the land’s potential and made it so that the home took advantage of its natural surrounding. Located on the top of Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, Washington, this residence was initially a warn-down building before the Rhodes took over in 2006. A large yard is located to the South part of the construction site and the large windows of the house ensure a panoramic view. The Raye Street House is said to be a combination of modern and traditional in matters of architecture. As for its interior design, you will notice the contemporary touch. What do you think of this home?
How cool is this? A chair and table set with a unique feel which is probably not even all that hard to do. From Ilan Dei Studio, this incredible table set (chairs, table and lamps) was created in order to bring nature indoors. Basically for this type of original design you only need a few logs, some specially made seating sponges and a free standing lamp that will be interconnected with the unusual material. We do not doubt this is the type of solution that can be home made. Furthermore, you could think of other fun objects you could have around using logs, such as a carved rustic shelving system for example. We also like how the set was integrated in the pictures below, bringing freshness and originality to the interior.

Striking and progressive materials are utilized throughout in this smart and edgy design. Featured in a recent Seattle AIA exhibition, the architect/builder has been recognized as one of the top twelve firms that will shape the future of Seattle architecture with their forward thinking. The home's exterior is comprised of clear tongue-and-groove cedar that is vertically mounted to the roofline and a rainscreen siding system made of Cembonit panels. The Cembonit panels shield a waterproof membrane that allows an exchange of inside and outside air. The purpose is to create a healthier interior air quality by allowing the home to breath while still providing insulation.

This fascinating-looking home seems to have it all: a great location (in Florida, with front row seats to the ocean), a cozy atmosphere and a nice design. There ere two predominant colors used in setting up the interiors. In each rooms you will find cool decorative items that are either white or blue. Nothing seems to come in conflict with these pattern and throughout the house you will notice many fascinating white and blue elements, some of them original and surprising: small pillows, beautiful paintings, vases and flowers especially chosen to mix with the overall color theme. This contributes to the uniqueness of the place. Even the exterior features blue paint and white windows. via Inspiring Interiors

White is the main color used to design this place and it combines great with the wooden furniture. The living-room is large and features a cozy couch, armchairs, a fire-place and some interesting mattresses on the floor, creating a comfortable and friendly environment. The kitchen is particularly interesting and is a combination of classic and rustic. The large wooden table is the focal point; there is also an additional table with plenty of seating places, painted in white. Our favorite room of the house remains the attic, with its triangular shape and unusual feel.
