How do you feel about a kitchen that has everything and a little extra? Even though the supply for kitchen bars is growing these days, there are not many those who think of having such an addition to their kitchen. Classic interiors, with kitchen elements gathered up on one wall and a table in the middle has become so popular, that we often see examples where creativity is regarded as a negative factor. We think a kitchen bar ads a touch of originality and breaks the dullness of a design. This is why in the pictures below you will see a collection of cool bar ideas which manage to improve the decors they are integrated in. From vivid colors and fresh patterns to more classic ideas, the bars are aesthetic but also functional.

We are back with more pictures on its unusual architecture and with something extra regarding its interior design. The project is called Reflection of Mineral¯ and belongs to Japanese architect Yasuhiro Yamashi from Atelier Tekuto. Located not far from the center of Tokyo, the contemporary 480 sq ft (44 sq m) residence breaks the architecture rules its surroundings. The amazing abstract shape was designed very efficiently, making use of the little space. Every angle of site brings with it a different view. The interior’s original shapes and dimensions are determined by the architecture and the arrangements had to be done accordingly. You can check out the final results in the pictures below. Enjoy!

From artist Paul Villinski comes this mind blowing interior butterfly pattern that challenges the idea of conventional designs. Made from beer cans gathered off the streets of New York City, Paul patiently crafted these butterflies one by one and hand made stunning wall designs. We are not aware of how the process goes exactly, but we really like the end result. Aesthetic and functional, these amazing arrays of butterflies could go well with the already existing wallpapers or paintings or even replace them if needed. Just imagine what you could do with such a design in the kids’ room. We enjoy the way they look in the pictures and we assume that they are connected in a way that is transparent.

Raye Street House is momentarily the name of the imposing house you see in the pictures below. But its construction came with a giant challenge. Ryan Rhodes Designs and Jason Rhodes (Attorney/Principal JMR Law Group) were the ones to notice the land’s potential and made it so that the home took advantage of its natural surrounding. Located on the top of Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, Washington, this residence was initially a warn-down building before the Rhodes took over in 2006. A large yard is located to the South part of the construction site and the large windows of the house ensure a panoramic view. The Raye Street House is said to be a combination of modern and traditional in matters of architecture. As for its interior design, you will notice the contemporary touch. What do you think of this home?

How cool is this? A chair and table set with a unique feel which is probably not even all that hard to do. From Ilan Dei Studio, this incredible table set (chairs, table and lamps) was created in order to bring nature indoors. Basically for this type of original design you only need a few logs, some specially made seating sponges and a free standing lamp that will be interconnected with the unusual material. We do not doubt this is the type of solution that can be home made. Furthermore, you could think of other fun objects you could have around using logs, such as a carved rustic shelving system for example. We also like how the set was integrated in the pictures below, bringing freshness and originality to the interior.
