It is time for yet another home that left us speechless as we were checking out its diverse and breathtaking interior design. “Echo House” comes from Kariouk Associates and is located in Ottawa, Canada. The architecture team’s challenge was to make a renovation of a 1924 Victorian building and integrate it in its environment. The exterior can remind one of two blended cubes, which makes for an original design. But to be honest, we took a strong liking in the home’s interior arrangements, as we noticed they are full of pleasant surprises. Books were an important factor that “modeled” the design. It can be easily observed that they are present in unconventional places. A special “book vault” was created in order to guard the hundreds of literary works. Tastefully and stylish, the place houses plenty of interesting decorative elements which we invite you to discover.

Situated not far away from Moscow (in Moskovskaya Oblast), Russia, this unusual guest houses were raised on a previously closed settlement called Resort Pirogovo. The buildings are suspended and their location on the top of the hill makes for some beautiful views. Wood was the main material used in creating this project and the red finishes gives it a bold feel. Totan Kuzembaev, the master mind behind this project explains his design: A man always wants to climb higher; after he has climbed, he wants to sit there; and when he has sat down, he would like to have a roof over his head.

From architect Sergio Araneda, you are looking at “Casa Maiz”, a project located in a small forest in Los Pinos, Renaca, V Region. Two things defined the design strategy of this place. On the one hand the owners and developers wanted a house that could receive a person or two, without the closure of other units, and secondly a house that had the capacity to receive the numerous family of the owners. The result was a “compact volume that generates concentric forces, and from that inner core faces freely and smoothly with the exterior and main sights”. This home may be very practical, but we rarely enjoy seeing compact houses, as they lack the warmth a and spacious feel a wider home has to offer.

JSª is a team of architects from Mexico City. They recently developed this breathtaking residential project situated by the beach in Lima, the capital of Peru. The location couldn’t be better- a peaceful area located not far away from the urban madness, where all the major events take place. A white and captivating exterior, with large windows draws attention to the building that houses 4 apartments. Stone stairs connect the levels on the outside.  A beautiful pool completes the mystical feel of this residential wonder. The interior design is modern and minimalist, with interesting furniture items and original color arrangements. We don’t know why the building is called “22″, but we really like its name. -via Platforma Arquitectura
