We are back with more pictures on its unusual architecture and with something extra regarding its interior design. The project is called Reflection of Mineral¯ and belongs to Japanese architect Yasuhiro Yamashi from Atelier Tekuto. Located not far from the center of Tokyo, the contemporary 480 sq ft (44 sq m) residence breaks the architecture rules its surroundings. The amazing abstract shape was designed very efficiently, making use of the little space. Every angle of site brings with it a different view. The interior’s original shapes and dimensions are determined by the architecture and the arrangements had to be done accordingly. You can check out the final results in the pictures below. Enjoy!
Even though more and more sustainable projects are being built lately, we didn’t see this coming: you are looking at the world’s first sky-scraper to have wind turbines. Nicknamed “The Razor”, this incredible structure is located in London and measures 148 meters. The official name of the project is “Strata SE! Tower”, a building equipped with three wind turbines, that will ensure 8% of the structure’s total energy consumption.Here are some words from the official website: “Strata SE1 comprises a £113.5 million investment in the area by Brookfield Europe and will provide 408 high quality apartments in two prestigious architecturally distinguished buildings, the Tower and the Pavilion, both with space for shops and restaurants below.” Do you believe this is a revolutionary building?- via Inhabitat

FFujitsubo and is located in the area of Omote-Sando in Tokyo, one of the centers of “trend setting” in matters of buildings and design. The construction has three openings in the deck leading natural light into the interior, which is carried through open light shafts between floors to bring light to the lower inner levels. The external pyramids are the main external pillars that help guiding the light. The house also sends a message. In an urban world, filled with sky-scrapers and conventional energy sources which drain most of the region’s supplies, building a place which uses more natural light than artificial sets an example. The walls are covered in an isolating material which acts as a method of thermal isolation. The interior was painted in white, in order to create the feeling of space.

This is proven by the butterfly-shaped roof, an innovative concept and structure that allows light to penetrate the conference rooms and the other offices. Due to this fact, there is a minimum need for artificial lighting during the day time. Natural ventilation and air filtration are also some of the features of these construction. And if this was not enough, most of the material used to build the place where recycled. The interior is warm and inviting, with paintings in fresh colors, creating a positive environment for the company’s employees.

House S is a low energy consuming building situated in a a Zurich municipality, a place known for its industrial potential. House S had to be built over an existing architectural site which also included the pool. Chestnut wood is the main element used in designing the interior, resulting in a warm and inviting home.
