One piece of furniture trickery standing upright on only two legs, this pair of Shadow Chairs by British designer Chris Duffy seems to defy everything we knew about gravity. It looks like the lack of back legs is being substituted by the apparent black shadow that is part of the chairs metal frame and functions as its base. A creative composition that is made from walnut wood and steel, the Shadow Chairs retail for something close to $1,200, but there’s no assurance the average American won’t break it. However it does the job right in fooling your guests – at least for the first time. – Via
